The Warning..!

Do you agree if I said that our present actions would be wiser if we decided by considering it’s future consequences ? Similarly a genuine advice or a correction that comes well ahead of time certainly changes our decisions and keeps us from troubles.

But, who can advice or correct us by keeping future into consideration? No doubt, it is only God who can guide our present path by keeping our future into consideration.

When Cain and Abel brought their offerings to God, Abel’s offering was more pleasing to God because only Abel brought his offerings with a heart of love and respect. Upon not receiving the same favor from God, Cain gets angry. When God saw Cain’s reaction. There was a WARNING that came his way.

Genesis 4: 6-7 – Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

Cain’s emotion was quite obvious. The warning he received does not seem to be a note of correction only for his emotion. It also seems like an early warning that came his way to alert him to correct his future actions. But Cain, who failed to recognize this caution, denied to correct himself. Which led to Cain killing his own brother Abel. And he allowed the sin to crouch at his door.

If only Cain had been alert and had accepted the correction, he would have created a new story altogether. Similarly, when God is speaking to us, it need not have to concern just our present situation. His timely communication stands valid throughout our journey of life. To keep his warnings in heart and walk by it keeps us from all the troubles. The Word that comes from Him is powerful all the time.

But wait, there is an early warning that has come our way..!!
