Clothing!

When Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit from the tree He had ordered not to eat from, their eyes were opened and they became conscious of their nakedness. And the next thing they did was — clothing themselves with FIG LEAVES (Ref Genesis 3 : 7)

When God set on to meet Adam and Eve, He understood that they had become conscious about themselves. Though Adam and Eve became subject to God’s wrath , God still showed them mercy and clothed them with garments made of SKIN. (Ref Genesis 3 : 21)

Did you find the difference ? Adam and Eve could clothe themselves with just FIG LEAVES. But it was God who clothed them with SKIN. Though both served the same purpose, the latter proves to be superior.

Similarly, What you and I can do to ourselves is so little when compared to what God can do to us.

At times when we try to do things our way with our own wisdom, we are doing nothing but simply clothing ourselves with fig leaves. Though it serves our purpose, it does not meet the standards that God has set for us. At the end we are progressing nowhere but making ourselves get settled to something lesser than what God has instore for us. But, when it is God who is touching our life and working out things for us, no doubt we are clothed with the best of all garments. We are getting our provision as per God’s design. And His design is always the best.

Because our God is gracious and He is so big, He forgives us and takes us back as His children. He pours out His love on us like a fountain of water that never runs dry. He satisfies our soul and comforts us with His presence. He is a good God. His will for our life is greater than the greatest.

May God’s provision touch your life and fill your heart with joy and happiness..!!
